Bujinkan Tetsushin Alamo Dojo Bujinkan training in San Antonio
About Instructor
Shihan Dale Dupaquier, MD
Judan (10th degree black belt)
I started training in the Bujinkan in 1989 in San Angelo, Tx with Sensei Brent DeMoville and Sensei Reed Shahan. I trained with them for 6 1/2 years during which time I also went to train in Ohio with Sensei Steven Hayes who is no longer in the Bujinkan. I also have trained with Sensei Bud Malmstrom who we brought down to San Angelo once a year. I then stopped training for 7 years while I was going to medical school and residency. After residency I trained for about 3 years with Sensei Bud Frank, a former student of Sensei "Doc" Sones. I also trained for about 2 years with Brian Gore a student of Shawn Grey. I have also trained a few times with Sensei Kendall Kelsoe and Sensei David Marshall in Austin. Starting in 2013 I became a personal student of Dai Shihan Joseph Adriance. I have been to several seminars he has taught and go train at his home dojo 1-2 times a month. I am also networked with 1 other Bujinkan training groups here in San Antonio. We encourage everyone to train as much as you can within the local training groups. I have traveled to Japan twice with the last time being in 2018. During that visit I was recommended for Judan by Dai Shihan Nagato.

I am married with 2 daughters. We are Independent Baptist. I was in the USAF for 6 years and it was during that time that I was introduced to the Bujinkan. After the USAF I went and finished my BS and entered medical school. I currently work as a pediatrician in an urgent care setting. I also play racquetball and do pencil drawings. My wife has published a Christian romance novel and is working on her second book. She also homeschools our youngest. Our youngest has done many sports including dance, baseball, softball and springboard diving. Currently she competes in golf. Our oldest was also homeschool and now has her master's degree. The picture below is from the day she went to Japan as an exchange student to study Japanese for a year.
